Eating out is fun! And easy, now that there is a nicely organized list of restaurants and how they prepare their foods. Here it is, in all its glory. Let me know if there is any info that needs to be added. Thanks to those who helped compile.

Applebee's (www.applebees.com)
There are some good selections for vegetarians here. It is a full-scale type restaurant, so service can take a while. They usually have good baked potatoes, mashed potatoes and New Potatoes. Most places have a side of steamed vegetables. Also have cheese nachos, onion peels, pizza and mozzarella sticks.

Most likely the only vegetarian salad dressings are Fat Free Honey Mustard Dressing (contains whey) and Reduced Calorie Italian. Bread sticks with marinara (breadsticks contain milk fat) are vegetarian.

Some places have a Vegetarian Plate (really good and a good value), which is steamed broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini and potatoes and a good salad. Most likely the dressing that comes with the salad is non-vegetarian.

Applebee's uses vegetable oil to cook fried dishes. They usually use the same surface to cook both meat and vegetarian dishes, so you should ask about this before ordering anything cooked on the grill or the French fries and mozzarella cheese sticks. The refried beans usually do not contain lard, but it changes from restaurant to restaurant, so you may want to ask about this.

Some places have the Sizzling Vegetable Skillet, grilled cheese and cheese quesadilla, but most likely they are cooked on the same grill as meat.

The Caesar dressing contains anchovies and is the standard dressing for the salad that comes with the Vegetarian Plate. The guacamole contains gelatin. The Garden Burger (served with guacamole that contains gelatin) may contain eggs, as some varieties of Garden Burgers contain eggs.

The rice dishes and soups usually contain meat stock. The Garden Vegetable Soup may not contain meat stock.

The cheese may contain animal enzymes, but usually vegetable enzymes are used. The baked goods and sauces may contain animal products so this should be checked. The waffles, croissants, French toast and cinnamon rolls usually contain eggs. The French fries may contain beef fat. The pastas all contain lactic acid and almost all their desserts contain gelatin.

Arby's (www.arbys.com)
There is not much of a selection here for vegetarians. They list the ingredients of the products they sell on their web site.

There are some salads and baked potatoes (plain or broccoli & cheese, not usually very good because they often sit for a long time). The turnovers are vegan (apple, cherry, blueberry), and are baked on clean little pans by themselves. The Arby's sauce and barbeque sauce, lite Italian Dressing, French and sub dressing are most likely suitable for vegan. Some other options are the Mozzarella Cheese-stick and Jalapeño Bites.

The potato dishes such as the curly fries and home-style fries are usually cooked in the same oil as meat. The cheese contains animal rennet.

The gravies and some of the sauces contain animal derived flavorings. The milkshakes and sour cream contain gelatin. Their buns and biscuits contain egg or milk derivatives. Thousand Island, Caesar, Ranch and Blue Cheese dressings contain eggs. The Parmesan Cheese Sauce contains Worcestershire Sauce (anchovies).

This place has a list of ingredients that you can request to see, which lists all the ingredients of the dishes that they serve. The have a large selection of excellent freshly baked breads. They have a selection of vegetarian soups (ask to see the ingredient list) and very good veggie sandwiches. They have a good avocado sandwich.

Au Bon Pain (www.aubonpain.com)
They list some of the ingredients of their products on their web site and they mark the vegetarian dishes. The salads and some of the bagels are vegan such as the cinnamon raisin, everything, Dutch apple, chocolate chip, plain and sesame bagels.

Has vegetarian cream cheese. The breads do not usually contain eggs. Have some vegetarian soups such as Garden Vegetarian and Vegetarian Chili. Mozzarella sandwich.

The French Onion soup contains chicken broth. Most of the baked goods contain eggs such as the Braided Roll, cookies, croissants, Danish, muffins and shortbread.

Have really good pretzels with an assortment of dips. The marinara dip contains gelatin.

Baskin-Robbins (www.baskinrobbins.com)
They list their ingredients on their web site. Most of their ice creams are vegetarian. The sorbets and ices are vegetarian. The sugar cones and plain cones are vegan.

The ice creams that contain marshmallows are non-vegetarian because they contain gelatin. The Vanilla, French Vanilla and the one with cookie pieces ice creams contain eggs.

Bob's Big Boy
Bob's Big Boy usually has a good size large salad bar and hot bar with a decent selection for vegetarians and limited vegan items. Some vegetarian items are French Fries, onion rings and baked potato.

Bojangles (www.bojangles.com)
There are few things to get here for vegetarians. Some vegan dishes are corn-on-the-cob, green beans, Cajun Pinto Beans and marinated coleslaw.

Vegetarian dishes are Macaroni & Cheese (vegetable enzymes), biscuits and multi-grain rolls.
The seasoned fries and hash browns contain animal products. The creamy coleslaw contains eggs. It is unknown what the natural favoring in the mashed potatoes is derived from.

They often mix animal or vegetable oil to their dishes to add flavor when they cook food.

Boston Market (www.bostonmarket.com)
Some vegan dishes are Tossed Salad (with no dressing or croutons), steamed vegetables, cranberry walnut relish, fruit salad and zucchini marinara. Apple cobbler, apple cinnamon apples and cinnamon applesauce. The vegetarian items are not cooked in animal oil or are any animal product cooked in this oil.

The macaroni & cheese and cornbread have eggs in them. The mash potatoes have gelatin and mono- and diglycerides from an unknown source. The pastas have eggs in them.

Bruegger's Bagel (www.brueggers.com)
This place is a vegetarian-friendly place. They have good cheap bagels and make really good veggie bagel sandwiches. They also have really good soups, and indicate which ones are vegetarian. They have 3 or 4 soups a day, 2 of which are usually vegetarian. I really like this place. Great place for a good, cheap, quick meal with consistently good service. On their web site they list some of the ingredients of what they sell.

All the bagels are vegetarian. Some vegan bagels are: rosemary olive oil, chocolate chip, pumpernickel, blueberry, cranberry, orange and cinnamon sugar. Vegan soups are Garden Split Pea soup, Roasted Roma Tomato soup, Ratatouille, Chile Cilantro soup, Gazpacho, Marcello Minestrone and Tucson Minestrone soup. Good hummus spread and basic salads. Most of the cream cheeses are vegetarian except the smoked salmon and bacon scallion. The American, Muenster, Swiss, cheddar and provolone cheeses are made with microbial (vegetarian) rennet.

The Bruegger's Bar contains milk, but no eggs.
The honey mustard, brownies and cookies contain eggs.

To ask about what is vegetarian call 305-378-3535. There cusomer service people are helpful and as far as I could see honest. They list the ingredients of what they make on their web site.

The French fries used to contain natural favorings derived from meat products (chicken based amino acid) and now the French fries do not contain any natural flavoring derived from meat products and are therefore suitable for vegetarians. They are cooked separate from any meat products. I asked the customer service lady (who was extremely nice and helpful) if after Burger King removed the meat based naturing flavoring if anyone noticed and she told me when they took the meat based natural flavoring out of the French fries that no one mentioned that they noticed any different.

The ingredients for the French fries (as stated on Burger King's site) are Potatoes, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Modified Potato Starch, Rice Flour, Potato Dextrin, Salt, Leavening (Disodium Dihydrogen Pyrophosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate), Sunflower Oil, Dextrose, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate added to preserve natural color, Natural† and Artificial Flavors, Xanthan Gum, Thiamine Hydrochloride, Medium Chain Triglycerides, Smoke Flavor. †Natural flavors from plant sources.

Has basic salads. The Reduced Calorie Light Italian Dressing and the Olive Oil & Vinegar Dressing are vegan. The French dressing is vegan, but it does contain some natural flavors from an unknown source.

Burger Kings does not endorse that the Milk Shakes are suitable for vegans or vegetarians, so you may want to be careful about this.

Some places carry veggie burger, but they are usually cooked in the same oil that is used to cook meat.

Not much else that they sell is vegetarian. The bagels usually contain egg whites, but some places may sell eggless bagels. The onion rings (contain whey) and hash browns are cooked in the same oil that meat products are cooked in. There is egg in the croissants. The cheeses may contain animal rennet. The French and apple pies contain casein (a milk product).

The honey mustard sauce, Ranch dressing, King Sauce, Thousand Island dressing and tartar sauce contain eggs and natural flavoring from an unknown source. The Ice Cream Bars sold in some Burger Kings contain gelatin. The Spicy Bean Burger contains eggs, and the ones sold in Canada are usually cooked in the same oil that is used to cook meats.

On their Web site Burger King states "Burger King Corporation makes no claim that the BK VeggieTM Burger or any other of its products meets the requirements of a vegan or vegetarian diet."

California Pizza Kitchen
The pizza crusts are not vegan. They contain dairy but not eggs. The Tuscan Bean Soup is made without meat stock.

Carl has a list of ingredients that are used at each of its places that are available at the restaurants.

Has a salad bar and baked potatoes.

English muffin and cornmeal roll are both vegan. The flour tortilla, breadsticks and plain buns are vegan except that they contain mono- and diglycerides from an unknown source. The fat-free Italian dressing is vegan. The croutons contain milk and Parmesan cheese that contain enzymes from an unknown source.

The honey wheat bun contains honey but not eggs. The Sunrise Sandwich without the meat and chow mien noodles are vegetarian. The cheese served on the baked potato and broccoli is made with vegetarian rennet. The Jack and shredded cheddar contains vegetable rennet. The American and Swiss cheeses may contain vegetable rennet.

The margarine usually contains whey, but sometimes it is possible to request a margarine that doesn't contain whey.

The Thousand Island dressing contains anchovies and eggs. The House, Bleu Cheese and Fat-Free Italian dressings contain eggs. The French-Fat-Free contains sugar and starch that may contain animal products.

Carl's strawberry swirl cheesecake and raspberry parfait contains gelatin. The French fries, onion rings and other fried items are cooked in the same oil as meat products. The raisin bran muffin contains eggs. The potato and macaroni salads contain eggs.

The sour cream may contain gelatin but usually does not contain animal products, so you might want to ask about this. The hash browns contain natural flavoring from an unknown source.

Most of the baked desserts contain eggs or other non-vegetarian ingredients. The shakes contain mono- and diglycerides and other ingredients from unknown sources.

Checker's Drive-in Restaurant
There is not much of a reason to come here. The French fries may contain beef tallow, but either way are fried in oil that meat products are cooked in. The apple nuggets contain animal shortening and are cooked in oil that meat products are cooked in.

Chi-Chi's Mexican Restaurant (www.chi-chis.com)
Some vegan dishes are guacamole, salad, refried beans and chips & salsa.

Cheese nachos, Vegetable Quesadilla and Chile Con Queso are vegetarian. The cheeses are usually made with vegetable rennet, but may be made with animal rennet. The vegetables are cooked in a pan that is only used to cook vegetables. The margarine that is used in cooking contains whey (derived from milk).

Dishes that are cooked in oil may also have meat items in the same oil so you may want to ask about this.The Apple Chimi is cooked in the same oil that is usually used to cook meat.

The enchilada sauce contains chicken fat and the Spanish rice contains chicken fat. The Mexican fried ice cream contains eggs. The soups, Enciladas Sauce, Cheese & Onion Enchiladas, Black Beans, and Salsa & Yellow Rice contian chicken stock.

Some vegetarian and vegan dishes are Garden salad, Tortilla with Beans. Steamed Vegetables (such as broccoli, corn and squash) and baked potato. There is butter in the mashed potatoes.

The French fries are cooked in the same oil that meat products are cooked in. The Ranch dressing contains eggs. The House Vinaigrette contains natural flavors from unknown sources.

This place does not have much of a selection for vegetarians. Tossed salad. The cheesecake, fudge nut brownie and ice cream may contain eggs. The waffle potatoes contain beef fat.

The pizza crust and sauce are vegan. The cheddar, Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses are made with vegetarian rennet. The Italian and fat-free Catalina dressings are vegan.

The blue cheese and Ranch dressings contain cheese. The three-bean and pasta salad contain mayonnaise made from eggs. The Thousand Island dressing contains eggs.

Church's Fried Chicken (www.churchs.com)
Some vegetarian dishes are corn-on-the-cob, apple turnover (vegan), mashed potatoes (contains natural flavors and mono-and diglycerides from unknown sources), fried okra and biscuits. The okra contains whey and is cooked in vegetable oil.

The collard greens contain animal products. The white and brown gravies contain beef fat and chicken. The French fries may contain beef fat, but is usually cooked in its own oil with no meat (but this oil may be mixed with oil that had meat cooked in it). Cajun rice and fried rice contain a meat stock. The coleslaw contains eggs. The lemon merinque pie contains eggs.

Some vegetarian dishes are salads and side vegetables (frozen and then cooked in a microwave). The French fries are cooked in vegetable oil, but meat may be cooked in the same oil. Sour cream is purchased locally so its ingredients change from place to place.

The rice pilaf contains chicken broth. The pancakes, French toast, fruit pies and cake contain eggs.

Cracker Barrel
This place does not have much to offer for vegetarians. Fried foods are cooked with the meat.

The baked potatoes are cooked with a meat sauce on them. There is no reason to come here.

Dairy Queen
Their fries are vegan and they usually do not fry other foods in the oil that they cook them in, but in some restarants they do, so it is a good idea to ask about this. Side salad is vegan. Garden salad has eggs.

The Vanilla and Chocolate Soft Serve ice cream supplied from Dairy Queen Corporation is vegetarian the the mono- and di-glyceroids that is in them is derived from a vegetarian source. Some individual restaurants offer additional soft serve favors and their ingredients may not be vegetarian, so you will have to ask about this. I am not sure about the hard ice creams.

Damon's
There is no real reason to come here. They have salads. Some vegan dressing are Oil & Vinegar, Reduced-calorie Italian and maybe the Russian dressing.

The Blue Cheese, Thousand Island and Parmesan cheese dressings all contain eggs. The Caesar dressing contains anchovies. The Wholesome & Henry's Gardenburger contains eggs. The French fries are fried in the same oil that chicken is cooked in.

The vegetables in the vegetable fettuccini may be cooked in the same pan that meat is cooked in.

Del Taco (www.deltaco.com)
They do not use lard. The French fries are cooked in vegetarian oil and are not cooked in oil that meat is cooked in. The pepperjack and cheddar cheese are made with vegetable rennet. The red, green and secret sauces are vegetarian.

The shell in the tostada salad may be cooked with meat. The beans may contain natural flavoring made from meat. The shakes contain milk and mono- and diglycerides from an unknown source.

Denny's customer service phone number is 800 7-DENNYS, and you can request vegetarian information.

Some Denny's offer veggie burgers (may be vegetarian but not vegan). They have baked potatoes and Sautéed Mushrooms. Has oatmeal, English muffins, bagel and grits (which are most likely vegan). Some other vegan items are guacamole, boule bread, light rye bread, side salad, sauerkraut, applesauce and Dutch Apple Pie. Vegan dressings and sauces are Oriental, barbecue sauce, salsa, reduced French, oil & vinegar and Light Italian.

Bread are purchased locally so you may want to confirm their ingredients.

Some vegetarian dishes are cold cereals with milk, baby carrots, garden salad, cottage cheese, onion rings, corn, mozzarella sticks and the Blue Cheese Dressing.

Some places may have cheese pizza and a Vegetable Plate.

The hash browns are vegan but may be cooked on a grill that meat is cooked on (most likely). Have Diced Skillet Potatoes and Diced Skillet Potatoes with Veggies but how they are cooked is definitely suspect.

The rice pilaf contains chicken broth. Cheese sticks, fries and onion rings are fried in oil (soybean based) that meat is cooked in. They say they use three fryers and cook different things in each one of them. In fryer 1 there is fried French fires, Mozzarella Sticks, Skillet Potatoes. In fryer 2: Fried fish, onion rings and shrimp and in fry 3: chicken.

The lemon meringue pie contains gelatin. Breads that contain eggs are dinner rolls, cakes, French bread, Texas toast and all the pies except the Dutch apple pie. Honey mustard, Caesar, Thousand Island and French dressings contain eggs. There is gelatin in the Parmesan cheese.

Domino's Pizza
The Salads and the Marzetti, Italian and Lite Italian dressings are suitable for vegans.

The pizza crusts contain whey and the pizza sauce is vegan. One of their four pizza crusts is vegan, but only a select amount of stores have it. The enzymes used in the cheese are of a microbial origin (non-meat).

The hand-tossed crust contains mono- and diglycerides and natural flavoring from an unknown source. L-cysteine is an amino acid that is used in the crusts, in which its source is unknown. The Ranch dressing contains eggs. The French dressing contains natural flavoring from an unknown source.

Dunkin' Donuts

Ingredients of all their products are listed on their web site. Most of the bagels are vegetarian.

Some of the donuts are free of eggs such as Apple Crumb Donut, Apple Fritter, Apple N' Spice Donut, Bavarian Kreme Donut, Black Raspberry Donut, Blueberry Crumb Donut, Bow Tie Donut, Chocolate Kreme Filled Donut, Coffee Roll, Glazed Donut, Glazed Fritter, Jelly Filled Donut, Lemon Donut, Strawberry Donut, Sugar Raised Donut and Vanilla Kreme Filled Donut. Most of the other donuts do contain eggs.

All the cookies contain eggs.

Has a salad bar with a wide selection of vegan & vegetarian items, a fruit cup and Three-Bean Salad. They have a Garden Burger (contains cheese), but it is usually cooked on the same grill as meat. Can sometimes get a vegetarian stir-fry, but it may be cooked on the same grill as meat.

Pasta salad contains mayonnaise that contains eggs. The French fries may be cooked in the same oil that meat is cooked in. The baked sweets usually contain eggs, but the bread is usually egg-free.

El Chico's (www.elchico.com)
There is not much reason to come here considering they have lard in many of their dishes including the tortillas, the refried beans contain bacon fat and the rice contains a chicken stock. The cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses contain rennet derived from meat.

French fries are cooked in canola oil that no meat products are cooked in. The House Hot Sauce and guacamole are vegetarian.

El Pollo Loco (www.elpolloloco.com)
Some vegan dishes are corn-on-the-cob, guacamole, pinto beans, cucumber salad, BRC burrito with no cheese and spiced apples. Also vegan is Italian dressing, salsa and hot sauce.

Vegetarian dishes are Pina Colada Bang, Orange Bang, BRC burrito, spinach-flavored and tomato-flavored tortillas and honey-glazed carrots (dairy and honey). Most likely the Fiesta Corn and Spanish rice are vegan (the margarine in it might not be).

The margarine may contain whey. The mashed potatoes contain milk.

The instant stuffing and Baja Glaze contain chicken. The Caesar dressing contains gelatin and anchovies. Crispy Green Beans contains bacon and the BBZ baked beans contains ham. The cranberry walnut, Lime Parfait, the lite sour cream and raspberry marble cheesecake contain gelatin. The tortilla chips, tostada shells and French fries are cooked in the same oil as the chicken. The cheese may have either vegetarian or meat-derived rennet. Except for the El Pollo Loco salad dressing all the rest contain eggs. The Smokey black beans contain ham.

The macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rainbow pasta salad, potato salad and broccoli slaw contains eggs. The Fiesta Cornbread Stuffing contains chicken. The churros are cooked in oil that is used to cook chicken taquitos.

Has a good selection of vegetarian dishes and marks the dishes that are vegetarian on their menu. Have pastas, pizzas, salads and a veggie sub. They say there are no eggs in the pastas. The Baked Spaghetti with cheese is really good. Baked ziti with tomato sauce.

Veggie submarine sandwich and pizza come with or without cheese. You order at the counter and then the dishes are prepared and your number is called. Has unlimited bread sticks with the meal. Very good place for a quick meal.

Fresh Choice
All-you-can-eat salad bar, pasta bar, fresh fruit and desserts. All pastas contain eggs and the marinara sauce is not vegan. Their nutritional info pamphlet lists all menu items and which are vegan.

Fuddruckers (www.fuddrukers.com)
The tortillas are vegan. The Vegetarian Fuddwrapper (may not be offered at all restaurants) contains rice, mozzarella cheese (contains an unknown enzyme) and grilled vegetables. The vegetables are usually grilled on a surface away from where meat is cooked. Has a Caesar salad and Garden salad.

The enzymes that are in the cheeses come from an unknown source. The French fries and onion rings are fried in oil separate from meat. The sandwich bun contains eggs.

Godfather's Pizza (www.godfathers.com) The pizza sauce and pizza dough are vegan. Some places have salads.

This is a buffet place that has a full salad bar. Also has fresh fruits and steamed vegetables.

Basically nothing in this place does not contain meat or eggs, so there isn't much reason to come here. The French fries and apple turnovers are cooked in oil that contains animal products. The green beans and pinto beans contain chicken.

The Carrot raisin salad is vegan. The biscuits contain buttermilk.

Gold Star Chili (www.goldstarchili.com)
This chain is located in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Some vegetarian dishes are spaghetti, pizza, French fries, cheese fries, Husman's nacho chips, garlic bread and bread sticks. The pizza sauces, tossed salad, red beans and streusel dessert are vegan. The cheddar and mozzarella cheeses are made with microbial (vegetarian) enzymes. The waffle fries may contain beef fat.

There is not much of a reason to come here, except to get a salad or a sandwich without the burger (or cheese). The cheese contains enzymes derived from both vegetable and animal. The fat-free French dressing contains milk products. The specialty bun and sourdough bread are vegan. The breakfast biscuits, seeded bun and Crispy Curls contain whey.

Has a pamphlet that lists the ingredients of all their products. As a rule they fry French fries and onion rings separately from the meats, but this is not strictly followed.

Vegan items are French fries, potato wedges, guacamole, salsa, side salad, English muffin, hamburger bun, sesame breadsticks, tortilla bowl, pita bread, gyro bread and Apple turnover. Hot sauce, malt vinegar, soy sauce and taco sauce are vegan.

Seasoned curly fries and stuffed jalapeno with cheese stuffing are vegetarian. The croutons contain butter flavoring and unknown natural flavoring. The Italian Low Calorie dressing contains unknown natural flavoring. The onion rings batter contains milk products and sulfites.

The secret sauce contains anchovies and eggs, cheesecake contains gelatin and egg rolls contains pork. The Caesar dressing contains anchovies. The Thousand Island dressing, blue cheese dressing, Tatar sauce and buttermilk sauce contain eggs. The French dressing contains honey and flavoring from an unknown source.

Some vegetarian dishes are the Three Bean Salad (vegan), Garden Salad (not all stores have), cornbread, corn-on-the-cob and biscuits. The mashed potatoes contain milk and butter. The macaroni and cheese contains unknown enzymes.

The mono- and diglycerides in the ice cream and shakes are from vegetable sources according to a letter that I recieved from them.

Most of the salad dressings contain eggs (some contain anchovies) except the Fat-free Herb Vinaigrette and Fat Free Ranch Dressing, which are vegetarian. The special sauce contains egg yolk.

The French fries are cooked in corn oil and are fairly good tasting. In some places meat items may also be cooked in the same oil, so it is best to ask about this.

If you don't eat eggs there is not much reason to come here, as almost all the dishes contain meat and eggs. The pastas are made with eggs and the breading for the Eggplant Parmigiana contains eggs. Their house dressing containes anchovies.

The breadsticks and marinara sauce at Olive Garden are vegan and are good.

One time I came here and asked the waitress what I could eat considereing I was a vegetarian and did not eat eggs. Luckily she was a vegetarian (who ate eggs) and she went back in the kitchen and checked the ingredients of everything and she could not find anything that I could eat.

This is one of my favorite places to eat at. They have a tendency to be vegetarian-friendly and healthy. I can definitely recommend this place.

They have a detailed list the ingredients of all their dishes, which they will gladly let you see if you request it.

Their Caesar Dressing, Combo Sauce, Signature Sauce, Horseradish Sauce all contain eggs. The Ancho Lime Sacue contains chicken fat.

The Corn & Green Chile Chowder contains ham. The Asiago Cheese Bisque contains chicken broth. The Forest Mushroom Soup contains chicken base. The Fire Roasted Vegetable Bisque contains chicken base. The French Onion has a beef base. The Broccoli Cheddar Soup contains a chicken base. The Baked Potato Soup contains bacon. The Creamy Country Asparagas Soup contains milk products and Tabasco sauce.

They have a great selection of baked breads, a selection of veggie sandwiches, soups (they indicate which ones on vegetarian) and a great selection of exotic salads.

Usually there is a selection of at least one vegetarian soup, which is usually either vegetarian black bean soup, which is really good and reasonably priced, or the Garden Vegetable Soup. They clearly mark on their menu board which soups are vegetarian.

The French bread contains eggs.

According to a letter I received from them, there is no animal renet in their cheeses.

Lists the ingredients of some of their dishes on their web site. The original pizza dough, the breadsticks and the pizza sauce (tomatoes, olive and canola oils) are vegan.

The mozzarella cheese used on the pizzas contains microbial (vegetarian) rennet. The thin pizza crust contains Parmesan cheese and olive oil. The Parmesan cheese contains animal rennet.

The Special Garlic Sauce contains mono- and di-glycerides and lecithin from and unknown source.

There are both a meat-free and meat based marinara sauce for the pasta dishes. You should very clearly ask for the vegetarian sauce, and even then you should check it when it comes to make sure that you have received the correct sauce.

The pizza crust, regular pizza sauce and marinara pasta sauce are vegetarian. The French, Italian, Fat Free Ranch and Creamy Cucumber dressings are vegetarian (don't contain eggs).

The Creamy Caesar and Thousand Island dressings contain anchovies, eggs and cheese. White Pasta Sauce contains chicken flavor (also milk, cream and cheese) and the fajita sauce contain chicken or chicken fat. The Taco Beans contains beef flavoring.

The Honey Mustard, ranch, blue cheese, Romano and buttermilk dressings contain eggs. The desserts often contain natural flavors, so these desserts may be in question.

The regular and Uno pizza sauce, breadsticks Marinara Sauce Pasta and the House Salad are all vegana.

According to one place contacted the the deep-pan and regular pizza crust contain parmesan cheese that contains animal rennet.

The Muenster, cheddar, and mozzarella cheeses do not contain animal rennet. Has a broccoli and spinach topped pizza.

The Romano and Parmesan cheeses contain animal rennet. The asiago cheese in the Triple Mushroom pizza contains enzymes derived from animal products. The grilled vegetables are cooked on the same grill that meat is grilled on. The Lasagna contains a meat sauce.

The Cheese sticks are served with a meat sauce. The Pizza skins contain bacon.

They list their ingredients on their web site. There is not much of a reason to come here, as all they have is corn-on-the-cob and apple pie (vegan).

The French fries and onion rings have a batter with eggs and dairy and are cooked in an oil containing beef tallow and soybean oil. The biscuits contain eggs. There is mayonnaise in the coleslaw.

Rally's
There is no real reason to come here and the only vegetarian choice is a cheese (from unknown enzymes) sandwich. The French fries have a batter that contains beef tallow and are cooked in oil that chicken is cooked in. The onion rings contain whey and natural flavoring from an unknown source, and are fried in oil that chicken is cooked in.

The ices and plain pretzels are vegan. The custards and gelati contain eggs.

The Parmesan cheese is made with an animal enzyme. The Gourmet Veggie Pizza contains eggs and natural flavors. Garden Pesto pizza contains Parmesan cheese. Macaroni salad, potato salad and the creamy garlic sauce contain eggs. The pre-made salads usually are made with mayonnaise. The Garlic Parmesan Twists contain eggs.

Shakey's has a good size salad bar.

The pizza crust and pizza sauce are vegan. The Garden Ranch Pizza is cheeseless and it has garlic butter (actually vegetarble margarine) on the crust. Vegan toppings are green peppers, roasted red peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes. Some of the pastas and also the marinara sauce and Pomodora tomato sauce are vegan.

The mozzarella, provolone, fontina, asiago and Parmesan cheeses are not made with any animal ingredients. The Pasta Fresca dish is pasta with several types of vegetables. The vegetables are grilled in a pan that is washed and dried between each cooking.

The roasted red pepper sauce has chicken stock in it. The Pasta Fresca has a white sauce that contains white wine and milk. The mojo-potatoes are fried in the same oil that meat products are cooked in.

There is not really much reason to come here. They have a salad bar. The Italian dressing is vegetarian.

Has salads, smashed potatoes, French fries and specially made veggie subs. The French fries are cooked separate from any meat products. The multi-grain roll and white roll are vegan.

Sautéed vegetables (served with smashed potatoes) are cooked on the same grill as meat. Kraft Ranch and Italian dressings are vegetarian.

The baked cookies all contain eggs. The Swiss and provolone cheeses contain rennet derived from animal products.
